We plan on improving our Chamber business listings in the near future with more detailed information on each business. A key part of this is integrating with your Google Business Profile (GBP). This means you’ll be able to manage your listing in Google and have that data automatically flow to your business listing here.
What you need to know for this upcoming improvement:
STEP 1: Own Your Business on Google
STEP 2: Find & Copy Your GBP
The first and most important step is to make sure you own/manage your business on Google. Run a search in Google on your business name. Click the ‘Own this business?’ link in the Business Info Box to start the process. You’ll have to go through a verification process, which may involve a snail-mailed code you need to enter into Google.
Once you own your Google listing, you can retrieve your GBP to enter it into the Chamber site: To find your Google Business Profile (GBP) ID, search for your business on Google while logged in with the account that manages the profile. From the search results, click the three-dot menu icon on your profile, select Business Profile Settings, then Advanced Settings. Your Profile ID will be listed at the top of the Advanced Settings page. Enter that value in your Chamber website account record to make your more detailed Google info visible on our website.
