Our Committees handle most of our Chamber work. Each Committee has a specific mission, metrics, and toolset, detailed on each Committee’s landing page. These pages require logging in to access.

EXPECTATIONS FOR COMMITTEE MEMBERS
- Participate in once-or-twice-a-month Committee meetings. Video- or tele-conference OK.
- Three consecutive absences from Committee (or Board) meetings is grounds for separation per Board vote.
- Execute assigned Committee tasks (contact and follow-up, coordination and management, etc.).
- Use Committee Toolz to manage tasks.
- Reach consensus with your Committee and create/sign off on monthly Status Report.
The purpose of the Outreach Committee is to convert prospective members in to full Members.
The purpose of the Welcoming Committee is to onboard new members and get them to become more deeply involved with the Chamber by volunteering, donating, and/or joining a Committee.
The purpose of the Nonprofits Committee is to organize and coordinate with NonProfit Members to share best practices, tools, and tips for more efficient operations and increased donations.
The purpose of the Events Committee is to organize and manage the Chamber’s social and educational events, including networking socials, informational seminars, annual fundraisers, and the annual Member Thanks party.
The purpose of the Parade Committee is end-to-end management of the Chamber’s annual Holiday Parade, from advance planning through traffic direction the day of the parade. Also responsible for coordinating the ‘best of Parade’ awards.
AMBASSADORS COMMITTEE
Our Ambassadors represent our Chamber at multi-Chamber networkings, galas, and other events. Ambassadors must first and foremost represent the interests of the Rutherford Chamber. While an Ambassador will also represent their own business interests, their main focus should be on that primary mission.

ADVERTISING & SOCIAL MEDIA COMMITTEE
Manage online and offline advertising for the Chamber, including:
Social Media: Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn
Offline: TBD
TECH CONSULTANT / INTERN
This is a hands-on position in which you will assist the Tech Chair in website and database maintenance and new feature development. Technical training on WordPress website development, largely self-led, is available, along with a coding ‘sandbox’.
