Committees

Our Committees handle most of our Chamber work. Each Committee has a specific mission, metrics, and toolset, detailed on each Committee’s landing page. Committee Tools require logging in to access.

Why Join a Committee?

OUR COMMITTEES keep our Chamber running, from recruiting new members to managing our renowned events. Committees are the critical connection between intention and action. We need your help to make it all happen. Read about the Committees below and sign up to join a Committee today!

EXPECTATIONS FOR COMMITTEE MEMBERS:

  • Actively participate in once-or-twice-a-month Committee meetings. Video- or tele-conference OK, need not be in-person.
  • Execute assigned Committee tasks (contact and follow-up, coordination and management, etc.).
  • Use Committee Toolz to execute assigned tasks as warranted.
  • Reach consensus with Committee and sign off on monthly Status Report.

The purpose of the Outreach Committee is to convert prospective members in to full Members.

The purpose of the Welcoming Committee is to onboard new members and get them to become more deeply involved with the Chamber by volunteering, donating, and/or joining a Committee.

The purpose of the Nonprofits Committee is to organize and coordinate with NonProfit Members to share best practices, tools, and tips for more efficient operations and increased donations.

The purpose of the Events Committee is to organize and manage the Chamber’s social and educational events, including networking socials, informational seminars, annual fundraisers, and the annual Member Thanks party.

The purpose of the Parade Committee is end-to-end management of the Chamber’s annual Holiday Parade, from planning through participant enrollment and traffic direction the day of the parade. The Parade Committee is also responsible for coordinating the ‘best of Parade’ awards.

AMBASSADORS COMMITTEE

Our Ambassadors represent our Chamber at multi-Chamber events and other venues.

We connect commerce to community. run the town's joyful holiday parade. help local nonprofits hit their goals. help local businesses succeed. can't do it without you.

ADVERTISING & SOCIAL MEDIA COMMITTEE

This grant for ground-level business leasers pays up to 40% of a year’s leasing cost. The main requirement here is for a new 5-year lease that adds at least 250 sq. feet in attached space. Currently guesstimated as closing to new applications in late 2025.

TECH CONSULTANT / INTERN

This is a hands-on position in which you will assist the Tech Chair in website and database maintenance and new feature development. Technical training on WordPress website development, largely self-led, is available, along with a coding ‘sandbox’.
