MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of the Non-Profits Committee is to address the particular needs of the Rutherford Chamber of Commerce’s nonprofit member community.

Committee Tasks
What our Committee is expected to do.
The Non-Profits Committee will:
- (1) organize the RCC’s nonprofits and keep an updated list
- (2) assist in getting the nonprofits engaged in businesses and in the community i.e. alert them about networking events, community festivals, etc.
- (3) search for new nonprofits and encourage them to join by providing them with the link (see list provided by the Rutherford Public Library)
- (4) organize fundraisers to help pay for nonprofit advertising and membership benefits.
- (5) The Nonprofit Committee will provide the Welcome Committee with up to 2 monthly multi-nonprofit informational emails and will gather this information monthly. These emails will be sent out (titled) A Message from The Rutherford Chamber Nonprofits Committee.
- (6) In January the Nonprofit Committee will meet on its own separately from the Board to create a committee plan & proposal & pick its members to be approved by the Chamber Officers.
- (7) Each month the Nonprofit Committee will report by the 1st of the month in preparation for the directors’ meeting on or about the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
Key Performance Indicators
How we measure success.
- At least 5 Non-Profit Members join a Chamber event (networking social, fundraiser, ec.) every quarter.
- At least 5 Non-Profit Members join a different Committee this year.
- Hold a non-profit themed event this year that attracts at least 40% of all NonProfit members.
